Bleeding bird help?

I just got home from work and saw that my parakeet Jasmine was bleeding near the left eye. There are only two ways I could guess it could happen - one is if my other parakeet Jacob caused it in a fight. Jacob drew blood on me before so I know his bite is powerful enough. The other possibility would be that she cut it on accident while scratching herself.
The cut still looks fresh, so I guess the main question is if birds will naturally heal from a cut, or if they need any kind of help? Their nails dont look long but I'm going to cut them this week just to be safe. But if I see Jacob hurt her again (if he did hurt her in the first place) he is gone, into his natural habitat.
Answers:
you can buy a sceptic stick from pet store that stops bleeding it will heal thoughnaturally unless bad then it needs to be stopped.i would keep the birds separate when out of the house and let them loose when i was in to watch them.check their toys and perches for sharp edges.
Yeah it will be okay. If it was anywhere beside the head I would be worried about puncturing a lung or something because birds lungs are different than ours.
question or story
He'll be fine as long as there is no more bleeding.
If it is still bleeding pad on baking powder. This will stop the bleeding.
I wouldn't try pet recommended meds of any kind including septic sticks. Birds should never be medicated in any way without your vet knowing what you're doing, it usually causes more harm than good. Go to the vet if you're uncertain about infection.
This is the EYE, and should be left alone. I highly doubt the other bird did this. It's hardly a reason to "put the bird back to it's natural habitat" as you put it. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure they are taken care of. Placing two birds together is not a guarantee they will get along.
Most birds will heal on their own, unless a cut is reopened time and time again. In that case i suggest you seek a professional vet.
If you think the other bird has been aggressive, why are you keeping them in the same cage? Two birds in the same cage protect one another, what did you think would happen if you tried to handle them? YOU are the intruder now!! Which is why i have stated in my posts, NOT to get two birds if you want to handle them. Birds are fine alone if you plan on spending time with them.
Check the corners of your cage, toys, and cuttle bone holders. They are notorious for cuts on feet, and faces.
Good Luck!
my mom is a former nurse (human nurse) but she said:
~how deep is the cut
~how bad is it
~how much blood was coming out of the puncture
