Bird trouble?

are the eclectus birds good talkers and one more question can people get allergies on macaws if they breath in too much dust from the birds?
Answers:
Absolutily.
They are known to have an almost as good vocab as the AG. But as everyone has said, not all will talk, this goes for any species, some just don't talk at all.
The females %26 males are equally excellent talkers however, sometimes when you get one, then later introduce them to another of the oposite sex, usually the male stops talking because he's taken an interest in the female. Females do keep talking but occasionally also stop talking when taking an interest in the opostie sex. And sometimes neither lose their ability to talk at all.
The eclectus parrot starts to mimc sounds %26 noises around the age of 7 months, some are earlier, others a little later. My boy started at 4 months. They do an aweful lot of practice mimicing strange sounds %26 noises until about 1 year old.
Upto 1 year you teach them words %26 sounds. Once they reach 1 year, they have the capability of picking up any word or sound that is only said once within hearing distance %26 by this age you don't need to teach them anymore because they will listen, observe %26 teach themselvs, so whatch what you say, they will repeat it if they can hear you. We have learnt a lesson from this ourselves!
Not everyone
Yes, Eclectus birds are excellent talkers and can develop a strong vocabulary of words and phrases. But not all birds will talk, even those that are excellent talkers such as the Eclectus and the African Grey. Some just decide they are not going to talk, and while it is rare, it does happen.
As for allergies, what you might be thinking about is a condition referred to at times as "bird keepers lungs", but there are other names for it. Basically, a person can breathe in too much dander and dust from from the bird droppings and cause damage to their lungs and airways. I have known people that have had to get rid of all or most of their birds due to this condition. There are some birds that don't produce as much dander than can be tolerated by some people that have this condition.
Yes, and Yes.
Eclectus are known to be good talkers.
The question about allergies is highly theoretical, but some people are allergic to dust or bird dander. There is even a song which mentions this ,as the birds cause problems for "your girlfriend on a respirator!" (The ballad of the Brooklyn Parrots" at Brooklynparrots.com)
Such allergies are rare, but they do occur. just as allergies to just about every substance can occur.
Unless you have serious problems with allergies, I would not let it worry me. At the worst, you can visit the bird you are thinking of buying and spend 15 or 20 minutes with it to see if you get a reaction.
