Birds cost?

How much do cockatiels and conures from breeders cost? Are they cheeper in stores like petco/petsmart or breeders? And who are they better to get them from?
Answers:
Petstores ask for more money, and many birds aren't young nor socialized. Petstores are good for fod and supplies but not animals. Except maybe fish. A cockatiel will cost you around 100 dollars give or take, and a conure depending on the tpe can cost 250 to 500. A green cheek will cost about 250 maybe a little more depending on mutation and then other conure slike Cherry heads will cost you about 500 and gold caps, jendays, and suns usually cost 450-500. But green cheeks are best for beginners. ;) They are the least expensive and the smaller conure as well. breeder is the best way to go, or na avian store that specializes in birds. Either one will provide you with a friendly, young feathered companion at the right price. Proof: A sun conure at petco will cost you about 520 it probably needs vacines and may not have been socialized well. From a breeder it will cost about 470 that's 50 bucks. Plus breeders give gurantees that say you find something wrong with the bird within 3-5 days and you can get a new bird or part of your money back. Smaller birds in petstores are usually healthy but often not socialized well with people. Petstores ask for more because they have to buy the bird from a breeder and then they raise the price to make a profit.
If you get them from petsmart or petco, they will probably be old and sick. They are less at pet stores but if you get them from a breeder, they will be young, healthy, and they might even be hand trained! They will cost more from a breeder though!
thats not true. i got my love bird from petco and he is healthy and young. he has already been with me for 4 years and hes going strong. in petco / petsmart they cost about 50 and 60 dollars. from a breeder they are more apt to have more exact porportions (if you ever are going to enter them in compatitions) but they will cost more. hope it helped
parakeet with supplies are only $100 at petco
How much they cost depends on where you live, it varies greatly.
Pet stores are usually 2-3 times more expensive than breeders. Also many pet stores (not all) don't seem to have the proper knowledge and care for them properly.
Breeders are usually far cheeper, and you are getting the bird straight from the person that raised it. They are usually healthier (but not always) and the breeder can give proper advice.
