its parents abandoned it and when i got it out of the nesting box it was lying on the floor twitching. it was cold and its gullet was empty so i took it inside and have tried to keep it warm for 3 days. i have been feeding it a mixture of baby food and a hand rearing mix that i bought, but i don't think its the right sort. i don't have much money so i can't buy anything decent to keep it warm and i'm not sure if i'm feeding it the right stuff or if i'm feeding it too much. at the moment it doesn't move much, unless i put it on something warm or feed it. it chirps and bops its head sometimes. its eyes are just starting to open and it has a very small amount of feathers. i am desperate to keep this baby alive so any info will help.

use a syringe to feed it the hand rearing mix - you do have to feed them about every 4 hours- be sure and set the alarm. you can't miss the feedings through the night. also put the baby in a box lined with a towel or something and put a lamp hanging over the edge of the box to keep it warm. temp should be kept right around 85 degrees to start with then reduce temp 5 degrees a week by raising the lamp higher. good luck with your baby - you will have the nicest pet bird you ever imagined by hand rearing it like this - keep us posted
please take this to a animal shelter or a pet store! if you really want to keep it alive you will do this. call a place first to see if they will take it. baby food is not what they need. it needs attention from someone that has experience with baby birds. If you dont soon, it will most likely die : (
Don't give your baby bird away! These people are crazy.
Go to your local pet store and buy it some baby bird food (ask for it) and feed it with a serenge and it should be just fine but make sure to keep it warm.

Dont worry! The parents a secretly taking care of it! Thats what happened to my baby bird! Every morining when u wake up go to its cage sit by it for a couple of minutes! After like 2 days of doing that open the cage door, then pick it up. If u have a cloth or something put on ur legs. Set the baby bird on the cloth and start petting it. (P,S I am still doing this it is good for the baby to get used to u!) Then after like 10 minutes put it back in the cage. Keep on doing this for a week! The next week, take it out, play with it., if u have a branch in ur cage instead of putting it on the ground set it on one of the branches! It will learn to be like its parents! It worked for me, now u try it! Evently it will learn to EAT by IT SELF! Right now the parents are feeding it! But when u are near the cage they dont do anything!

well just keep doing what u doin and they sell a shape like a needle but it is not pionty that u can buy it in the pet shop for 5 dollars and you can put the food in the needle and feed the bird into its mouth...good luck..
