Can someone explain to me how birds mate?

Because I don't understand it, birds don't have penis, no vagina but they make babies.
All they do is the male get on the back of the female.
Answers:
the male climbs on top of the female and she spreads her wings for balance and the male rubs his vent(his privates) against hers.

that was too funny, god i laughed so hard!
are you 8?
there eggs
birds are not mammals so they do not need to have sex to have baby birds
Actually, they do.
They have to be careful though not to mate with a bird of questionable character or they could get Chirpes, which is a canarial disease and it appears to be untweetable.
They do actually have to mate (have sex) to have babies. They are not out there reproducing asexually... and actually birds DO have penis's and vagina's (there's a big study about duck penis's in one of the more recent biology periodicals) they are just not set up exactly the same way as in mammals which most people are more familiar with. But it's still basically the same thing, there needs to be contact and the female needs to have everything fertilized internally. Females can lay eggs without mating, but they will not be fertile. (kinda like how female humans make eggs every month but without a guy, not much is going to happen with them)
You dont know much about birds
