Are ducks asexual? If they are not, can they still lay eggs without a partner?
Answers:
Ducks are actually not asexual. They lay eggs without being fertilized, yes, but they only hatch when they have been fertilized by a mallard. As for how they taste, its pretty much like a chicken egg, but it just tastes a little meatier.
NO. That's why there are males and females.
No, ducks are definitely sexual - but female ducks do lay unfertilized eggs. It's like having a period, but in bird form.
No ducks arent asexual, there are boy and girl ducks. Yes, girl ducks can lay eggs with out a partner, they are unfertilized and will not hatch into ducklings. If a male duck mates with a female duck then the eggs will be fertilized and then eventually the eggs will hatch into cute little ducklings.
No ducks are not asexual. They have males and females. The females will lay eggs regardless of the presence of a male, although they will not hatch into anything since they aren't fertilized.
no they have to have a male to fertilize the eggs .. there sex is very discrete you might say, they don't waddle around quacking about it ha ha ha
No, They can lay eggs without a partner but they wont have a fetus in side it.
No but some fish are...
Birds female lay eggs can lay eggs with out males that
are not fertilized of course
How stupid are you? Jeez..ever hear of Google??
No, female ducks can lay eggs without a male, just like chickens. It's just like how us women release eggs even if we don't have sex.
No they are not asexual. Birds and mammals produce eggs without mating. Birds lay them externally, mammals keep their eggs internal. Eggs will only hatch if the mother has had sex with a male. In birds, this takes place before the shell is deposited around the egg and laid. If not, a female bird will still lay the egg, but it wont hatch.
