Can parakeets (budgies) , eat chillie?

i want to know if my budgie can eat chillie , i was wondering,would it be dangerous to give her some because shes so small mabey it would make her sick?

birds love chillies (the vegetables). They are very good for them. all our birds are fed chillies daily. most of my birds are in aviaries and they will fly down to me to get their chilly.
you can use the love of this food to help train them.

I'm not sure, but maybe don't try that,,who knows what could happen?? I have two budgies, and I would not want to risk their lives over some chilly.
You could try giving them celery, carrots, broccoli, apple, strawberries..(mine love these).

i read in a magazine (bird talk) that birds cant feel the hotness of a pepper, and its good for them but i dont know if its including a parakeet..the picture on the magazine was a pretty big bird. Try to google it..

it depends on what chillie your talking about if it is the veggie then yes they can eat that but dreid you can get some at a pet store and only give a little.
if it is the chilly that you eat with corn bread or whatever then dodnt give her any it is bad for their liver and can kill them, just give her veggeis or friuts like apples are a forvite at my birds house and carrots and sweet corn and other veggeis and fruits. just dont give chocolate or avacados those will kill them if eaten.

I currently have 4 parakeets. They can learn to talk without chilies. Personally it might speed up the process but your bird will hate you and never trust you again. Don't do it. I'm trying to get my birds to eat fruits and veggies.

Feed your bird only only healthy avain diet foods.
Tell ya what, how about feeding her instead of a food that could harm her, a warm dish of vegetables.
You can use frozen mixed vegetables, defrost them in hot water, then drain them and let cool, then put some in her food dish.
