Are Conures Just as Messy as other birds?

I was working at a pet store and noticed that birds like parakeets throw their food all over, from the spray to the seed. Do conures also do this with their food even though its different from other bird food?
Answers:
Birds are individuals. No 2 are alike.
That being said, all birds are messy. One may throw their food more than their brother or sister, but there is no such thing as a neat and tidy bird.
If you don't believe it , check out the Quaker Parrot. He can be the neatest and the messiest of birds at the *Same* time ! Quakers want their cages to be clean, so instead of pooping in their cage, many will go up to the bars and actually launch their poop out of the cage in a breathtaking arc!!
Of course that makes for a neater cage. But it doesn't do much for your rug ! It is also usually done just as you are showing your bird off to friends and telling them how clean he is !!

They don't throw their food, but they still are messy eaters because they spill alot of it while eating.

After having many kinds of birds for over 40 years, I can tell you for sure that there is no such thing as a NON messy bird, but I have never had a Conure that threw his food or was any more messy than any other birds. The messiest birds I have ever seen were the Loris. They are basically fruit eaters and sling it everywhere! Beware of the Lorikeets!

My dad had conures while I was a kid. We have one conure now and 3 quakers. Our conure is the least messy of all of our birds. Dad also has macaws.now those are extremely messy!!!

My Conure loves to dig in his food dish , until he finds what he is looking for. But he is no messier than other birds!!

Well i have a lovebird, a parekeet and a half moon conure and my conure makes the most mess when he eats. But I think maybe its because he's so much bigger than my other two birds. But, I have seen them compared to other birds at pet stores and their foods are everywhere compared to the grey and the amazons!!

some birds may throw their food because they don't like that particular nut or peice of friut. all birds will spill food though, even my finches lol
it is in their nature, they are "repolinating the forest floor"
