Are cockatiels or lovebirds more "cuddly"?

i know it depends on the individual bird but by nature which is more affectionate?
Answers:
a cockatiel! :)
im just going to copy and paste from another question i answered:
"he's the most loving bird! he likes to take naps under the covers with me, he likes to put his face up to mine so i can massage him, he watches movies and tv with me... haha... he is sooo cute!! everyone makes fun of me and calls him a 'mommy's boy' because he's so loving towards me."
but then again.. i have never known a lovebird.. so i dont know how they are
i love my cockatiel! he's my baby %26lt;3
We actually had both. Lovebirds are a big pain in the ****, and very loud. And NOT nice. They bite.
Our cockatiels made very soft purry noises, and were great companions. They never bit.
We got rid of them because we never had the time to domesticate them. But really...go for cockatiels.
personaly i think that lovebirds are more "cuddly" they are more apt to seek for your attention (unless you get two, then there apt to ignore you and seek attention in one another). lovebirds are very social and are smaller then cockatiels which can make them easier to handle too. my lovebird loves getting on my sholder and going for rides or even just chirping with people, giving birdy kisses, and walking around the house. as long as you show them that you want to be their companion when you first get them your looking for a lifetime friendship when it comes to lovebirds! hope it helped!
Lovebirds are not typically hand tamed. I worked with one personally for over 5 years. Made a little progress so it walked up my leg on time, then bit me! I would honestly say they are more posessive than cuddly or affectionate. My cockatiel, however, was extremely sweet and cuddly from the beginning.
A hand tame lovebird in my opinion is the most cuddly but they are hard to find hand fed/hand raised. Buy only one though, because when caged together they will become agressive towards people and those beaks can hurt! But cockatiels are friendly, just not "cuddly".
If both are hand reared, in general I think the cockatiel would be far more cuddly and affectionate.
I have a cockatiel and its EXTREMELY cuddly. I often bring it with me when I go on the computer and he will jump off the desk and climb up my arm onto my shoulder. Lovebirds are more territorial, and therefore can be a bit crankier. AND COCKATIELS ARE SOOOOFT. Mine whistles to me every day. he has never screeched or made annoying noises once ever.
I've had both before, both had been hand tame, and in my opinion now, my lovebird was/is much cuddlier. He just seemed to be more interested in what I was doing all the time and wanted more interaction than the tiel. My cockatiel was very nice, never bit or anything, but my lovebird is much more interactive than the cockatiel ever was.
They don't call it a lovebird for nothing
Get a hand fed baby, not a finger tamed one! Lovebirds are very cuddly-but I've never had a cockatiel.
Hand fed babies are raised by humans, not just trained to not be afraid of you.
good luck
PS they're both able to bite, and will both do so if scared or alarmed in some way
Cockatiels by far are the best for cuddleing. Lovebirds are very mean especially when you have two or more. They are anything but loving!
